About the position

The Event Sales Manager at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is responsible for selling and servicing events, primarily focusing on Banquet Food and Beverage. This role involves menu planning, agenda setting, and ensuring high-quality hotel meeting services. The manager will facilitate communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events, host hotel tours, maintain customer relationships, and participate in event meetings. This position is integral to providing exceptional service and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and service events, focusing on Banquet Food and Beverage.
  • Plan menus and set agendas for events.
  • Review contracts and facilitate communication with hotel staff.
  • Host hotel tours for potential clients.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Participate in and lead event meetings and staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with the sales and events staff and assigned Administrative Assistant.

Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Preferably two years of hotel experience or completion of an Event Management trainee program.
