About the position

The Event Sales Manager at Hyatt is responsible for selling and servicing a variety of events, including weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. This role focuses on banquet food and beverage sales, room rentals, and ensuring high-quality service through effective communication with hotel staff and clients. The manager will also conduct hotel tours, maintain customer relationships, and collaborate with the sales and events team to deliver exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and service various events including weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings.
  • Contract events and maintain communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events.
  • Plan menus and set agendas for events.
  • Host hotel tours for potential clients.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and participate in event meetings.
  • Work closely with an assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of event sales experience.
  • Well-rounded experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong desire to satisfy customer needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
