About the position

As an Event Sales and Marketing Manager at Sage Hill Inn & Spa, you will play a pivotal role in executing the group sales strategy aimed at maximizing revenues across various revenue-generating outlets, including rooms, meetings and events, food and beverage, pickleball, and spa services. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate effectively with clients to understand their event requirements and vision, ensuring that their expectations are met and exceeded. You will be tasked with building and developing relationships with current clients while also analyzing current markets to identify new opportunities and potential clients. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor and will be comfortable interacting directly with guests, whether over the phone or in person, especially during site tours. You will also serve as the day-of liaison during events, overseeing the setup, ceremony, and reception to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your role will involve developing departmental event sales plans and communicating them clearly to all relevant parties. In addition to managing all aspects of event management, including logistics, marketing, and hospitality, you will ensure that all client correspondence is meticulously tracked and recorded, including quotations and contracts. Coaching front desk and other team members on group or event materials will also be part of your responsibilities. You will manage the guest database, ensuring that client details are accurate and up to date, and submit weekly Sales & Marketing activity reports to the General Manager. This position requires a proactive approach to sales and marketing, with a strong emphasis on customer service and relationship management.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience in banquet, catering, and restaurant services.
  • Expertise in events management and logistics.
  • Ability to market events effectively.
  • Background in hospitality/hotel industry.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct at all times when dealing with clients and guests.
  • 2 years of sales experience required.
  • 1 year of events management experience required.
  • 3 years of customer service experience required.
