About the position

The Event Sales & Planning Manager at Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport is responsible for managing the sales process for events and meeting spaces within the hotel. This role involves selling event services, managing accounts, conducting site inspections, and collaborating with various hotel departments to ensure successful event execution. The manager will focus on generating business in social markets and developing sales action plans to meet short-term booking needs.

Responsibilities

  • Sell events, meeting space, and guest rooms to customer groups.
  • Detail and service events, ensuring all client needs are met.
  • Manage accounts and conduct site inspections for potential clients.
  • Develop and execute sales action plans targeting social segments.
  • Utilize various methods to solicit business, including phone calls and community functions.
  • Maintain positive relations with local business organizations and hospitality industry events.
  • Update leadership on market fluctuations and competitive changes.
  • Identify and qualify market demand for food and beverage and meeting room rentals.

Requirements

  • Experience in hotel sales processes and functions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills is preferred.
