About the position

The Event Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day security operations at events, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and maximizing operational efficiency. This role involves managing staff, creating staffing estimates, and maintaining communication with customers to enhance satisfaction. The manager will also coach and develop team members while adhering to budgetary constraints and operational strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all day-to-day security operations are operating within the procedures set forth by the company.
  • Responsible for creation of staffing estimates and tracking estimated cost vs. actual cost.
  • Review contracts for compliance and supervise company labor and subcontractors.
  • Ensure accurate payroll, invoices, and timely collections.
  • Suggest operation strategies to improve execution and provide additional value in a cost-effective manner.
  • Effectively communicate goals to the game-day security operations team and maintain accurate records for internal and external reports.
  • Proactively communicate with customers and seek feedback to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and coach subordinates to maintain morale, skills proficiency, and productivity.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all payroll records at designated accounts.
  • Ensure timely scheduling of staff and fill open positions within 96 hours of shift start time.
  • Adhere to budgets including overtime percentages, labor percentages, and profit rates.
  • Be on-call for weekends/evenings as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

  • Minimum of three years of previous operations, service, or project management experience
  • Experience in event staffing, security, sports management, or athletics preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check
