Customer service is a key component of this role. The Event Services Manager is expected to be visible to guests, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring a positive experience. This includes interacting with guests to gather feedback and empowering employees to deliver exceptional service. The manager also conducts human resources activities, setting service goals for the team, scheduling employees, and leading department meetings to ensure alignment with business demands and productivity goals. Responsibilities

  • Supervise the event services team and assist in the physical setup of function rooms.
  • Ensure the Red Coat program is implemented according to Catering Event Service standards.
  • Delegate tasks to ensure timely room setups that meet Event Service Standards.
  • Manage departmental inventories and assets, including maintenance of equipment.
  • Project supply needs for the department and ensure proper rotation of supplies.
  • Conduct function room inspections prior to events to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between Banquets, Event Planning, and Event Delivery teams during events.
  • Review the weekly Diary to maximize space utilization for events.
  • Respond to guest feedback and handle complaints effectively.
  • Set service goals for event service supervisors and employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or a related professional area.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in customer service and problem-solving.
