The Event Services Operations Manager is a full-time position responsible for organizing support and staff for events both on and off campus. This role serves as the system administrator for the university's scheduling software, 25Live, and is tasked with coordinating with Event Services staff and clients to determine the best support for various events. The position requires providing one-on-one assistance to faculty with multimedia teaching modules, media conversions, video creation and editing, and other media-related projects. The typical work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the flexibility to work modified hours based on nighttime and weekend support requirements. In addition to the administrative responsibilities, the Event Services Operations Manager is expected to embody the mission and commitment of Taylor University, which focuses on developing servant-leaders who are passionate about ministering Christ's redemptive love, grace, and truth. This includes a personal testimony of salvation in Jesus Christ and adherence to the university's Statement of Faith and Life Together Covenant. The role involves managing the 25Live software, providing training for users, and ensuring that event data is updated and managed effectively. The manager will assist departments in entering reservations, monitor requests for media services, and coordinate with event organizers to determine the technical and physical logistics necessary for successful events. This includes working closely with various departments such as Catering, Facilities, and Campus Police to ensure all event support requirements are met. Additionally, the manager will supervise student employees, develop their leadership skills, and evaluate their performance, ensuring compliance with university policies and applicable laws.
