About the position

The Event Specialist at Texas A&M International University is responsible for planning and coordinating various special events at the university. This role involves producing promotional materials, managing event logistics, and ensuring effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and makes arrangements for various events held at the University.
• Develops and distributes master calendar and schedules space requests for rehearsal performances, productions, and exhibit spaces for University and external clients.
• Produces correspondence, reports, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices related to special events.
• Develops and maintains the master mailing list.
• Assists with ticket sales and box office operations.
• Assists with large event setups and takedowns.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Four years of related experience.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
