About the position

As a member of our global events team, your role will be pivotal in advancing the company's event strategy, collaborating with leadership and colleagues in marketing and throughout the organization to ensure a systematic and consistent approach to events in the U.S. market. A collaborative team player, you will meticulously plan, coordinate, execute, and monitor a diverse array of events including exhibitions, sponsorships, seminars, client events, and some internal events. You will champion best practices for events, whether they are internal or external, 1st or 3rd party. Upholding CSC standards for budget tracking and return on investment (ROI) will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. In addition to your operational expertise, you will inject fresh ideas and inspiration into events, aligning them with our commercial priorities and devising strategies to make them stand out. Your keen attention to detail, superb organizational skills, and a track record of delivering successful events that surpass client and stakeholder expectations will set you apart in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Project plan and execute our US event program. Events are attended by clients, prospective clients, partners, analysts, media, and employees
  • Consult with meeting sponsor and/or requester to understand their requirements including event objectives, and measurables to ascertain if the event was successful
  • Manage all areas of delegate management-invitee lists, registrations, emails, post event surveys
  • Manage suppliers: sourcing, negotiating, and liaising
  • Maintain budgets, control costs with suppliers, and negotiate without compromising quality
  • Oversee on-site event logistics including set-up, registration, and coordination of all event elements
  • Conduct post-event assessments to analyze the success of each event, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement
  • Follow contract and finance procedures
  • Track event ROI across all business units and use the information to plan for future events
  • Bring new ideas, tools and methods to the event team on a regular basis

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years event management skills
  • Knowledge and experience of running multiple events at the same time while tracking ROI
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, must be able to communicate clearly and with authenticity to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Excellent written English, proofreading, and research skills
  • Highly competent with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to work outside office hours as necessary
  • Candidates must be able to work in our Wilmington, Delaware headquarters for consideration

Nice-to-haves

  • Ideally a bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing or similar field
