About the position

Allied Universal® Event Services is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Event Staff for major concerts, festivals, and Chiefs home games. This role is perfect for those looking to earn extra cash while enjoying the excitement of live events. As an Event Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for guests by performing various duties such as collecting tickets, welcoming and ushering guests, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also be responsible for directing foot traffic and maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of designated areas during events. In this position, you will assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution. This includes allowing appropriate entry into each venue, collecting and/or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic coming in and out of the venue. You will be expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events. A key part of your role will be to greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing them with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience. Your interactions with guests should be friendly and engaging, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued throughout their time at the event. This position offers flexible part-time scheduling, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking work that fits around their personal life goals. With a pay rate of $16.00 per hour and weekly pay, this role provides a great way to earn extra income while being part of the vibrant event atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Assists in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Allows appropriate entry into each venue, may collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic coming in and out of the venue.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.
• Initiates a genuine, friendly and personal greeting to guests as they arrive at the facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location, and a sincere thank you as you complete your encounter with each guest.
• Provides guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their entertainment experience.
• Interacts with guests with a smile and uses a natural speaking voice, including natural inflection and a friendly tone.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, and may be required to pass a Driver's Record check.
• Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
