About the position

The Event Technology Marketing Manager at Avnet is responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of event logistics for a variety of internal, customer, and partner-facing events. The manager will also set up on-site registration systems and create mobile applications to enhance the event experience. In addition to technical skills, the Event Technology Marketing Manager must possess strong organizational and analytical abilities to effectively plan, execute, and assess the outcomes of event projects. This includes collaborating with internal and external customers to identify event goals and requirements, creating detailed project plans, and ensuring that all key deliverables and milestones are met. The role also involves negotiating contracts for events, managing budgets, and providing leadership to project teams by coordinating resources and communicating objectives clearly. On-site management during events is crucial, as is the ability to manage budgets effectively, ensuring that all financial aspects are clearly defined and communicated throughout the event lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute event logistics for internal, customer, and partner-facing events.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in event management or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Thorough knowledge of event management principles and practices.
  • Competent in all job functions with a general understanding of industry standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional event management software beyond Cvent.
