About the position

The Events and Database Manager at Temple University is responsible for managing and supporting various events at the Innovation Nest, ensuring that both internal and external activities run smoothly. This role also involves tracking and managing databases related to engagement and activities of Temple Spinouts, while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the overall experience and effectiveness of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the schedule of events at the Innovation Nest.
  • Implement planned events at the iNest, including coordinating setup and food ordering.
  • Manage the CoWorks system to schedule events and book conference rooms, offices, and labs for incubating tenants.
  • Oversee technical aspects of presentation forums, including display connectivity.
  • Assist the Executive Director with engagement regarding Temple University spinouts, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
  • Strategize with the Executive Director and OVPR members to design events that increase engagement.
  • Supervise student interns in collaboration with the Manager of the Blackstone Launchpad.
  • Lead tours of the facility and create new programs and grants with the iNest team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in managing events and programs or business operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CoWorks and StartupTree databases.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
