About the position

The Field Marketing Lead at Sentry is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global and regional event strategy. This role involves planning, organizing, and executing impactful in-person and virtual events that enhance brand awareness, engage developers, and generate leads. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure successful event execution and alignment with marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute integrated field campaigns involving developer events, email marketing, and direct mail marketing.
  • Conceptualize developer-focused gatherings in collaboration with the Developer Marketing team and Engineers.
  • Define a repeatable menu of owned and operated events such as CTO/Engineering Executive dinners and practitioner workshops.
  • Manage Sentry's presence at third-party industry events to generate sales opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Own and manage field marketing program goals for both owned and third-party events, ensuring alignment with pipeline targets.
  • Build landing pages for events, webinars, and eBooks, and send automated and personalized emails.
  • Create and manage an annual and quarterly budget based on evaluating the ROI of all field programs.
  • Formulate outbound-focused content arc for campaigns and own content related to events.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Content Marketing, and Creative Studio to deliver cohesive campaigns.

Requirements

  • 10+ years B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 years in demand generation and technical content strategy.
  • 5+ years' experience managing events, including at least 3 years running field marketing events.
  • Experience running field programs beyond physical events, such as webinars and email campaigns.
  • Experience working closely with a direct sales team and regional channel partners.
  • Experience managing event budgets and holding budget authority.
  • Accountability for pipeline building and sales responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com and Marketo.
  • Metrics-driven with strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

  • Developer relations or community experience.
  • Experience in an enterprise software company or a self-service business model.
  • Experience managing a small team and holding a cross-functional team accountable for project deadlines.

  • Base salary range of $150,000 to $185,000.
