About the position

The Events Coordinator I at Liberty Military Housing is responsible for planning, coordinating, and hosting events that foster community connections and create memorable experiences for military families. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to customer satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate all phases of the event planning process including research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Manage and execute multiple events simultaneously, including timelines, production schedules, and logistics management.
  • Execute on and off-site events, including event team coordination, set-up, hosting, and tear down.
  • Oversee and process assigned accounting and financial matters based on event budgets, including processing invoices and requesting quotes from vendors.
  • Support District Teams within the event planning process to ensure successful event experiences.
  • Develop and create effective marketing plans and materials to promote events and programs.
  • Collaborate with military organizations and businesses for partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate event records and submit required documentation by deadlines.
  • Support special projects and team members as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of event planning experience or experience in recreation, hospitality, marketing, or communication fields.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent project planning and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Availability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with website Content Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in graphic software such as Adobe, Publisher, Photoshop, and InDesign.
