About the position

The New York Times is seeking a B2B Events Manager to join the Advertising department. This role involves managing various events aimed at promoting the company's messages to the advertising industry. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners to create compelling experiences that enhance brand awareness and drive revenue. Responsibilities include executing client events, managing budgets, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team through thoughtful event execution on projects that reflect core department priorities.
  • Collaborate and support sales in the production of intimate client events and category sponsorships.
  • Contribute to the NYTAdvertising department's annual global sales conference.
  • Manage daily development, production, budgets, and vendor relationships for assigned projects.
  • Build relationships and collaborate across the organization with various functions.
  • Develop event collateral and related materials including marketing materials and recap reports.
  • Manage and become an expert in event applications and tools such as Splash, Zoom, and Monday.com.
  • Support manager in establishing workflow and best practices for concept development and production.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in B2B or event marketing.
  • Experience executing both live and virtual event production.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
