About the position

Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking an Events Manager for its Global Publishing Events department. This individual will report to the Director, Events. The Events Manager will manage the overall execution of live and virtual Central Publishing events such as consumer tradeshows, Press & Creator preview Events, and other mainstream activations. The Events Manager will also play a key role in coordinating global engagement hubs and ensuring support and parity is achieved across global events. The ideal candidate will have a strong event management background, a creative and strategic mindset, excellent project management skills, and exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbally, and a proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with internal and external stakeholders are essential for this role. In this position, you will serve as the global events lead overseeing all aspects of worldwide event strategy, budgets, and operations on assigned brands. You will be responsible for delivering top-tier live and remote experiences for global audiences that maximize engagement and meet event objectives. Coordination with global engagement hubs, cross-functional teams, brand marketing, production, and operational teams will be crucial to ensure that event objectives, attendee experience, and operational excellence are achieved at all events worldwide. You will also develop and implement event processes and tools such as budget trackers, project timelines, production schedules, event specs, and onsite tracking documents to ensure parity across the global network of engagement hub events. Additionally, you will provide hands-on support for publishing-led NCSA events that require live and/or virtual support, which may include onsite pre-production, live event management, remote gameplay management, and staff training. Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, external and internal partners will be a key part of your role, as well as conducting post-event reporting and tracking for ROI analysis. You will also support additional events for publishing teams such as FWD, Gamescom, and other global initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of event management and/or trade show experience required, with a proven track record of managing experiential events and activations
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex logistics and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to problem solve and offer creative solutions
  • Strong budget management experience with the ability to keep project scope, stakeholders, agencies, and partners in line
  • A highly effective communicator who can actively listen and deliver information concisely across various groups
  • Experience in managing vendors, people, equipment, and timelines
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • SF-based location required - Hybrid position with two days on site
  • Travel required
