About the position

BrightEdge is seeking a proactive and energetic Sr. Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of industry events that educate and connect the customer community while enhancing the BrightEdge brand. This role involves managing all aspects of event planning in a fast-paced SAAS environment, from conception to completion, and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the event planning process including subcontractor relations, venue selection, entertainment, catering, A/V coordination, transportation, collateral design and printing, onsite registration and execution.
  • Negotiate venue and vendor contracts to align event expenses with the marketing budget and leverage global discounts.
  • Maintain event branding to ensure all elements are within BrightEdge style guidelines and effectively promote the brand.
  • Partner with the marketing team to update the events page on the BrightEdge website in a timely manner.
  • Handle all industry event correspondence including tradeshow prospectus requirements pre-and post-sponsorship events.
  • Maintain a master events calendar and communicate key dates internally.
  • Specify internal staff requirements and coordinate their onsite event needs and activities.
  • Communicate with the BrightEdge PR agency to promote events via social media.
  • Propose solutions to improve event processes internally and externally.
  • Produce event campaign reports in Salesforce.com and conduct post-event analysis.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills and credibility with C-level executives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience coordinating events in a fast-moving SAAS environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex programs independently, including tradeshows, field events, roundtables, and summits.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to communication and collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Ability to build productive business relationships with internal clients.
