About the position

The Events Marketing Specialist will lead the planning and execution of both in-person and virtual conference activations and events. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project management from concept to completion, while building strong relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders to create impactful events that align with the company's core values and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end planning of conference activations and events, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with partners and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of event objectives.
  • Liaise with vendors for venues, catering, A/V, and more, ensuring high-quality service within budget parameters.
  • Oversee the execution of events on-site, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Organize and manage internal company events such as open houses, team-building activities, holiday parties, and customer/employee appreciation events.
  • Conduct post-event analysis, including gathering feedback and providing detailed reports on event success and areas for improvement.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining the quality of the experience.
  • Propose new ideas to enhance the attendee experience and drive engagement through interactive, innovative elements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in conference and event management.
  • Proven experience in managing both large-scale conferences and intimate corporate events.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent vendor management and budgeting skills, including pricing negotiation, invoicing, and recordkeeping.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage expectations effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead presentations and meetings.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
