In this role, the manager will lead cross-functional teams to execute complex event technology projects, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery. They will also be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for staff on the use of event technology tools, empowering teams to leverage these capabilities effectively. Establishing partnerships with technology vendors is essential to stay updated on emerging trends and to utilize cutting-edge solutions for events. The Events Operations, Technology Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and customize technology solutions accordingly. They will oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of event technology infrastructure to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations. Additionally, the manager will implement sustainable practices in event technology management, promoting eco-friendly initiatives and reducing environmental impact. This role also involves leading the development and design of mobile application experiences for events, ensuring that all technological aspects align with the overall event strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key liaison for business systems and technology for all internal and external events.
  • Manage registration systems for events and spearhead the implementation of innovative event technologies.
  • Streamline event operations through the integration of tech solutions, improving efficiency and cost savings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing complex event technology projects, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery.
  • Develop and deliver playbooks and training programs for staff on the use of event technology tools.
  • Establish partnerships with technology vendors to stay abreast of emerging trends and leverage cutting-edge solutions for events.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and customize technology solutions accordingly.
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of event technology infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
  • Implement sustainable practices in event technology management, reducing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly initiatives.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in event technology, marketing, trade show, and conference industry.
  • Strong background in events business systems, technology, and applications.
  • Cvent certified in Event Management and Event Management Advanced.
  • Proficiency in measuring, tracking, and analyzing the business impact of events.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in event registration and mobile application experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly motivated and resourceful problem solver, able to navigate challenges and drive results.
  • Experience with Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Wrike, Airtable, Cvent, Tableau or similar tools.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $127,000 based on skills and experience.
