About the position

The Events Sales Manager at 4 Star Restaurant Group is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining and building event sales across multiple venues and concepts within the brand. This position requires a proactive approach to responding to inquiries daily, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed on the same day through the use of TripleSeat booking software. The manager will oversee the event calendar, ensuring that private events are booked to maximum capacity in all rooms, thereby maximizing revenue generation. Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, convention planners, wedding clients, and guests is essential to the role. In addition to managing existing relationships, the Events Sales Manager will be tasked with planning and executing new business outreach initiatives aimed at attracting new clientele. Monthly management of the budget is crucial, with a focus on ensuring that sales meet or exceed budget goals. Effective communication of event-specific information to vendors and internal partners is a key responsibility, as is coordinating with the staffing manager to meet event needs. The role also involves creating event proposals and contracts, fielding calls and inquiries, and planning staff, menu, rentals, and outside rentals. The manager must diligently keep contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and payments organized and on time. Responding to feedback and resolving issues effectively is vital to ensure repeat guest visits and satisfaction. The creation of event packets, including timelines, floor plans, supplier information, service directions, and event notes, is necessary to ensure the success of each event. Participation in weekly meetings with the operations team and being on-site for venue visits and walk-throughs are also part of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries daily through TripleSeat booking software, ensuring same-day responses.
  • Manage the event calendar to maximize capacity and revenue for private events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate, convention, and wedding clients, planners, and guests.
  • Plan and execute new business outreach initiatives to build new clientele.
  • Monthly management of budget, ensuring sales meet or exceed budget goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of event/food and beverage sales experience.
  • Experience with Tripleseat catering software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage assignments and deadlines with minimal supervision.
