About the position

The Events Sales Manager at One Off Hospitality Group is responsible for organizing and executing events that enhance the company's image and improve client loyalty. This role requires a creative and organized individual who can work closely with the VP of Catering and Events to ensure unforgettable experiences for guests. The position involves maintaining event supplies, managing communications, and collaborating with various culinary and service teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean, and professional image.
  • Gain extensive knowledge of all menus, both food and beverage, including ingredients, cooking techniques, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings.
  • Update all calendars and maintain consistent communication with the event manager regarding availability.
  • Create menus and signage for events.
  • Assist restaurant staff with setup and breakdown of events when applicable.
  • Work closely with Event Chefs, Chef de Cuisines, Sous Chefs, and Beverage Directors to maintain understanding of seasonal offerings.
  • Gain knowledge of the POS system for charging events and ringing items.
  • Field phone and email inquiries.
  • Conduct walk-throughs and tastings for potential and booked semi-private clients.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented demeanor.
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Assist other team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant work experience (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of project management, experiential marketing, and/or event experience in complex roles.
  • Food Handler Certification required.
  • Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
  • Ability to handle stress under pressure.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and communicating priority updates to Directors.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to drive outcomes.
  • Experience with Triple Seat or/and Toast preferred.
  • A current and valid Driver's License and means of transportation are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with event planning software.
  • Knowledge of local vendors and suppliers.
