About the position

The Events Sales Manager at Daniel's Vineyard is responsible for creating memorable experiences through the planning and execution of public and private events. This role involves managing all aspects of event planning, from generating leads to overseeing event execution, ensuring outstanding guest experiences, and maintaining positive relationships with members and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of onsite and offsite event planning, including developing budgets and creating timelines.
• Liaise with vendors and catering partners to create custom designs and menus.
• Oversee execution of events, ensuring outstanding guest experiences by being present at private member gatherings and managing banquet staff.
• Prepare member summaries for final event invoicing and billing reconciliation.
• Plan and manage marketing events for directors and owners.
• Set up tours and tastings and host tours as needed.
• Assist in planning and execution of offsite events.
• Communicate with members regarding activities and programs.
• Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining events database and overseeing master schedule of events.
• Ensure communication and coordination with department heads regarding upcoming events.
• Participate in weekly department meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 5 or more years of professional experience in guest/member relations and event planning and sales in luxury settings.
• 2 or more years of experience in a high-level food & beverage environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to take full ownership of events or assist the events team as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in another language is a plus.
• Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
