About the position

The Events Services Supervisor (Assistant Facility Manager) is responsible for overseeing the presentation and operation of event spaces at the SAFE Credit Union Convention & Performing Arts District. This role involves coordinating event set-up and tear-down, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and providing excellent customer service to guests and vendors. The supervisor will work closely with facility and security staff to create a positive event experience and resolve any issues that arise during events.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates event services and box office activities to meet the needs of licensees and ensure efficient operation of events.
• Provides information regarding the facility's capabilities and services to users and potential users; determines equipment and personnel required for events.
• Coordinates with catering, security, ushers, and other service providers; serves as on-site liaison between facility users and the City.
• Directs and coordinates box office activities, maintains and reconciles box office accounts, and supervises ticket sales.
• Prepares reports, correspondence, contracts, and studies related to events and facility use.
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned personnel; recruits and schedules part-time box office staff.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in operations for convention and entertainment events, including supervision of personnel.
• A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in public relations or entertainment facility management may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Familiarity with laws, ordinances, codes, and procedures related to event operations.
