About the position

The Events & Social Media Manager at CyraCom is responsible for planning and executing both internal and external events, serving as the primary contact for clients, vendors, and employees. This role also involves managing the company's social media platforms and creating content to support various departments, including sales and recruiting. The position requires a high level of professionalism, self-motivation, and the ability to analyze and execute digital marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute internal and external events such as roundtables and conferences.
  • Write and assist in the design of collateral, with authority to approve or revise.
  • Develop, execute, and analyze digital campaigns and assigned budgets.
  • Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices.
  • Demonstrate a continued commitment to professional education and industry best practices.
  • Train or manage team members as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations.
  • 2+ years of planning, executing, and evaluating internal and external events.
  • 2+ years of experience planning and managing in-person/virtual events.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, Marketing Research, and Event Coordination.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other programs).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite or Canva (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Spark, and other programs).
  • Advanced experience negotiating hotel, AV, and other vendor contracts.
  • Skilled at conducting marketing research and the ability to present and explain data.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar social marketing platform.
  • Strong content writing and editing skills, with an ability to clearly and concisely explain technical and non-technical concepts through written documents and visual presentations.
  • Highly developed organizational skills to manage simultaneous tasks and multiple deadlines.
  • Skilled at developing effective working relationships at all levels in the organization.
  • Adept at collaborating with diverse groups and team-building.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, Business Manager, Organic and paid ad campaigns.
  • Experience with Instagram for business.
  • Experience with Canva preferred.
  • Experience with OBS software or other screen recording software.
  • Experience researching, securing, and coaching speakers hired for events.
  • Experience with HTML.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or directly related field from an accredited college/university.
