About the position

The Operations Coordinator at AmeriGas plays a crucial role in supporting field operations by performing a variety of administrative and operational duties for assigned locations. This position is essential for ensuring that the operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing inventory duties, processing procurement transactions, and assisting Customer Experience Advocates. Additionally, the role involves handling the permit process and other operational tasks as necessary to support the overall operations of the company. In this position, the Operations Coordinator will act as an administrative liaison with the area operations coordinator, ensuring effective communication and coordination between different operational areas. A significant part of the role includes entering inventory counts for propane, bobtails, appliances, and other assets into the SAP system, as well as recording inventory transfers. The Operations Coordinator will also assist external customer experience advocates by retrieving necessary information and documents from the location's files, ensuring that customer needs are met promptly and accurately. Moreover, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for picking up permits from local offices for assigned districts and processing the ordering and receiving of goods for the district, which includes office supplies, parts, fittings, uniforms, and appliances for all locations in the area. Handling mail for the assigned locations and performing various operational duties to contribute to the success of the operation are also key responsibilities of this role. The Operations Coordinator must be adaptable and willing to take on other duties as needed to support the team and the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an administrative liaison with the area operations coordinator as necessary

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • 2 years' experience in an office setting required
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a large degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrates high professional and personal standards; handles confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple locations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
