Responsibilities

  • Set up and control paper line filler equipment efficiently.
  • Perform all required preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Address equipment problems aggressively to minimize downtime.
  • Make controlled adjustments to optimize equipment running efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation associated with operations.
  • Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards in the work area.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Ensure all resources are available for production runs.
  • Prepare the oncoming shift for a successful run.
  • Participate in pre-shift team meetings and communicate with the outgoing technician.
  • Perform various tasks related to food safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School equivalency required.
  • Preferred 5 years of food manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 60 lbs.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex systems and concepts.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills and ability to make sound decisions under stress.
  • Ability to work on equipment in awkward positions and reach difficult areas.
  • Willingness to stay in confined work areas wearing clean room attire for extended periods.
  • Capability to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Comfortable with operation of microprocessor-controlled equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows-based applications.
