About the position

The EVP of Brand & Marketing will play a critical role in shaping the overall marketing strategy of EBONY Media Group. This position focuses on developing and executing effective brand and consumer plans that drive audience growth, increase market share, and build brand loyalty. The role requires strategic leadership, brand positioning, digital marketing excellence, and the ability to foster partnerships and collaborations that enhance the brand's presence in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Craft a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives.
  • Drive the integration of digital and experiential marketing strategies across all channels.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Lead the refinement of the company's brand positioning and oversee the creation of compelling brand narratives.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all platforms and audience touchpoints.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to track and measure digital marketing performance.
  • Innovate and experiment with new digital marketing trends and tools.
  • Design and implement experiential marketing strategies that create unforgettable brand experiences.
  • Manage relationships with event production partners for high-impact results.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key influencers and forge strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Manage the marketing budget and conduct ROI analysis of marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, influencer marketing, and analytics.
  • Experience in brand development and storytelling with a track record of building powerful brand identities.
  • Deep understanding of experiential marketing strategies and successful event execution.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships and influencer relationships.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong financial management skills with experience overseeing marketing budgets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
