The Environment Services (EVS) Ambassador plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the Medical Center, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position involves a variety of tasks, including the set-up of conference rooms, transporting beds to storage areas, and cleaning and sanitizing entrances and lobbies. The EVS Ambassador is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing general areas such as stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and non-patient care areas, as well as patient rooms. This role is essential in upholding the standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the facility, which is vital for patient care and safety. In addition to cleaning duties, the EVS Ambassador is tasked with unpacking, stocking, covering, and delivering linen carts. This includes folding and stocking scrubs into dispensing machines and organizing shelving storage areas. The ambassador also distributes and tracks clean linens to user departments, maintaining stock levels on nursing units. The role may require performing other duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Environmental Services team. The EVS Ambassador must embody the mission of Loma Linda University Health, which is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. This includes demonstrating core values such as compassion, excellence, humility, integrity, justice, teamwork, and wholeness in all aspects of their work.
