About the position
The EVS Assistant Manager at Pechanga Resort Casino is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Environmental Services department, ensuring high-quality service delivery to guests. This role involves managing staff, implementing procedures, and maintaining operational efficiency while supporting the EVS Manager in achieving departmental goals and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and support staff performance to ensure high guest satisfaction in the delivery of all services.
- Oversee and ensure accountability for compliance with standard operating procedures and company policies.
- Assist with the development of short- and long-term goals for the department and staff.
- Attend and conduct staff meetings and pre-shift meetings.
- Monitor department expenses and analyze costs regularly to support the budget.
- Assist with payroll using company-approved software.
- Manage and evaluate weekly schedules and daily workload assignments.
- Conduct daily Quality Assurance Inspections of all areas of the Casino.
- Communicate with supervisors to ensure timely completion of weekly projects.
- Inspect cleaning equipment and recommend new purchases.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years relevant work experience, with three years of supervisory experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
