About the position
The EVS Cleaning Technician I is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining assigned areas in compliance with company and client standards. This role emphasizes infection prevention and requires interaction with clients to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety in various facilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect assigned work area to verify compliance with procedures and standards.
- Participate in training programs on safety regulations and cleaning methods.
- Empty, clean, and damp-wipe waste receptacles and remove waste to designated areas.
- Vacuum rugs and carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, and corridors.
- Dust and wipe clean all office furniture and fixtures.
- Remove smudges from vertical surfaces including doors and light switches.
- Damp-mop or clean any spillage in offices and public areas as required.
- Keep janitor's closet clean and orderly.
- Sweep or dust mop hard floor surfaces.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ years of custodial experience preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in floor care and carpet cleaning preferred.
- Prior experience cleaning in healthcare facilities preferred.
- Fluency in English is required.
