About the position
The EVS Supervisor at Yaamava' Resort & Casino is responsible for overseeing the Environmental Services team to maintain health and safety standards within the casino. This role involves providing guidance, managing team operations, and ensuring compliance with health protocols while promoting a culture of exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the maintaining of all EVS duties and responsibilities in the Casino, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing surfaces according to health guidelines.
- Supervises assigned EVS Team Leaders and Housekeepers, implementing management concepts and providing necessary training.
- Interacts with guests to provide information and promote brand loyalty through exceptional customer service.
- Works with management to ensure departmental requirements are met and monitors team attendance and personnel files.
- Records all EVS team activities and ensures essential equipment and chemicals are available and properly labeled.
- Assists wherever needed to ensure daily Department goals are met and performs essential duties as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years Housekeeping or Casino experience required, or extensive experience in supervising a large hourly workforce.
- Minimum of (1) year Supervisory experience preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year union experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Exceptional typing and penmanship skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Continuing education college coursework preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
