About the position
Join our Environmental Services Team at Porter Medical Center! Please apply to this position if you have an interest in: Environmental Service Technician I (Housekeeper). The Environmental Service Technician I (Housekeeper) is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment throughout the facility. He/she follows OSHA Federal Register Rules & Regulations, Porter Medical Center Infection Control Policies & Procedures and ES Department Policies & Procedures in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness. He/she is expected to work collaboratively with co-workers and other department team members as required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment throughout the facility.
- Follow OSHA Federal Register Rules & Regulations.
- Adhere to Porter Medical Center Infection Control Policies & Procedures.
- Comply with ES Department Policies & Procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Collaborate with co-workers and other department team members as required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Ability to read written procedures and apply them to daily work.
- Ability to submit records of accomplished work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and good public relations.
Benefits

- Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time positions (pro-rated for part-time) with a one-year employment commitment.
- Shift differentials range from $2.00/hr to $6.00/hr.
