Responsibilities

• Perform daily distribution yard activities for the facility.
• Conduct distribution-related functions such as receiving, storing, and shipping/building of loads.
• Operate forklift and ensure load matches order prior to vehicle exiting yard.
• Engage in customer service activities.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Follow safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or two years equivalent work experience.
• Ability to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.
• Physical capability to perform duties in a warehouse environment with considerable exertion.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of building material products.
• Ability to understand and measure lengths of material required.
• General warehouse experience.
• Experience operating a chainsaw.
• Experience with industrial forklift operation.
