About the position

The Human Resources and Payroll Assistant will support the HR/PR department by performing various administrative tasks essential for the recruitment process, employee orientation, and maintaining employee records. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the talent acquisition process, managing applications, etc.
  • Conduct data entry for employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the onboarding process by coordinating employee orientation sessions and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain organized files for all HR-related documents and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for various HR initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Enter new employees into employee management system.
  • Maintain employee records.
  • Initiate and onboard volunteers for our school sites.
  • Process Accts Receivables for Retiree Benefits.
  • Assist the department manager with a variety of assigned tasks and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in human resources or administrative roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition processes and recruiting best practices.
  • Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using Escape, Google platform, excel a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in executive administrative support for 3 years.
  • Ability to relocate before starting work.
