About the position

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of excavation equipment, including excavators, backhoes, and loaders. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment, performing tasks related to digging, building, paving, and bulldozing on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy machinery, including backhoes and loaders, to perform excavation tasks.
• Dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks as required by project specifications.
• Build and pave surfaces according to engineering plans and site requirements.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure smooth workflow on the construction site.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery on-site.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials using dump trucks when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in operating various types of heavy machinery, including Caterpillar equipment.
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license; certification for heavy machinery operation is preferred but not mandatory.
