About the position

The Metadata and Data Profiling Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing business metadata and analyzing data contents across various systems of record. This position is ideal for a Business Analyst with a technical background, particularly someone with prior experience in metadata management and data profiling. The analyst will be responsible for driving metadata standards across different channels of the bank and training colleagues to implement and maintain these standards. Additionally, the role involves profiling data as systems of record are onboarded to the integration hub, ensuring that metadata accurately describes the data and contributes to data conformance.

Responsibilities

• Improve business metadata and analyze data contents across systems of record.
• Drive metadata standards in different channels of the bank.
• Train colleagues to implement and maintain metadata standards.
• Profile data as systems of record are onboarded to the integration hub.
• Assess whether metadata accurately describes the data and contributes to data conformance.
• Translate technical database information into business terminology and definitions.

Requirements

• Experience with metadata management and data profiling.
• Strong background in relational databases, particularly Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience working with logical and physical data models.
• Ability to translate technical information into business terminology.
