About the position

The Executive Account Director for the West (Bay Area) at Cushman & Wakefield is a pivotal role responsible for leading the strategy and growth opportunities for a portfolio of Occupier accounts within the designated territory. This position requires a senior relationship manager who will oversee and support the Account teams to ensure effective account planning and collaboration across all services. The goal is to deliver superior results in existing contracts while identifying and realizing opportunities for growth. In this role, the Executive Account Director will drive a proactive strategy to expand client relationships. This includes developing a comprehensive vision to enhance client value and service delivery across various service lines such as Facilities Management, Project Development, Transaction Management, Portfolio Administration, Environmental Health & Safety, Sustainability, Supply Chain, and Workplace Consulting. The Director will create a robust relationship map and strategy, proactively engaging with clients to understand their business goals and strategies, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying further partnership opportunities. The position also involves providing thought leadership and seeking innovation and efficiency opportunities across the enterprise. The Executive Account Director will partner with the Quality team to evaluate growth opportunities and necessary changes to improve contract renewal likelihood. A culture of client excellence and growth will be infused into the account leadership teams, providing access to the latest innovations and fostering an environment that encourages the identification and resolution of new opportunities and potential risks. Additionally, the Director will lead multi-disciplinary teams in preparing responses to RFPs and client presentations, set and measure operational and financial goals for client accounts, and ensure the implementation and superior delivery of all contracted deliverables. Regular performance reviews between clients and Cushman & Wakefield will be coordinated to enhance relationships and manage action plans effectively. The role also includes maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners, managing P&L for regional accounts, and instilling a strategic, data-driven approach among account team members.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a proactive strategy to expand client relationships.
  • Develop an overall vision to increase client value and service delivery across service lines.
  • Create a robust relationship map and strategy to connect with clients and understand their business goals.
  • Provide thought leadership and seek innovation and efficiency opportunities across the enterprise.
  • Partner with the Quality team to evaluate growth opportunities and improve contract renewals.
  • Infuse a culture of client excellence and growth into account leadership teams.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in preparing responses to RFPs and client presentations.
  • Set and measure operational and financial goals for client accounts.
  • Ensure implementation and superior delivery of all contracted deliverables.
  • Coordinate regular performance reviews between clients and Cushman & Wakefield.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Manage P&L for all regional accounts, including budget and forecast development.
  • Instill a strategic, data-driven approach among account team members.
  • Oversee risk mitigation and dispute resolution for clients and Cushman & Wakefield.
  • Build a highly engaged workforce focused on client needs and satisfaction.
  • Partner with HR for quarterly talent reviews and succession planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience, with 10 years in occupier services or outsourcing services preferred.
  • Competency in one or more core service lines.
  • Financial analysis and computer literacy with knowledge of applicable software packages.
  • Experience in resource allocation and implementation.
  • Superior relationship building and management skills.
