About the position

The Executive Administrative Assistant for Catholic Formation plays a crucial role in supporting the Diocesan Directors by providing comprehensive administrative assistance. This position is integral to the operations of the Catholic Formation Secretariat, ensuring effective communication, event planning, and budget management to facilitate the mission of the Bishop of Manchester and the Catholic Church in New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate administrative support for the Diocesan Directors of the Catholic Formation Secretariat.
  • Perform financial duties including deposits, credits, parish billings, reimbursements, and record management.
  • Assist with the promotion, planning, and execution of diocesan functions, events, and Masses.
  • Coordinate online registrations and payments for events, generating nametags and assisting at events.
  • Assist directors with budget preparation, recordkeeping, and mail distribution.
  • Support various groups by assisting with event planning and correspondence.
  • Ensure supplies and materials for retreat and ministry programs are ordered.
  • Coordinate with the diocesan webmaster to update the diocesan website.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience performing secretarial duties, with a preference for event planning experience.
  • Proficiency with the full MS Office Suite, Access, Publisher, and database management.
  • Ability to produce basic financial reports and monitor budgets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with clergy, religious, and laity.
  • Maintain confidentiality and be a practicing Roman Catholic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Familiarity with budget preparation and financial reporting.
