About the position

The Executive Administrative Assistant/Medical Staff Coordinator at South Sound Behavioral Hospital plays a crucial role in providing high-level administrative support to the CEO and CMO. This position is designed to ensure smooth operations within the administration department, allowing leadership to focus on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage schedules, maintain organized records, and facilitate communication within the medical staff and committees.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and CMO.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively manage schedules for the leadership team.
  • Perform clerical tasks including managing facility administrative records and handling phone communications.
  • Maintain and update physician and facility operation contract books.
  • Report pertinent information to various committees including the Consulting Board and Medical Executive Committee.
  • Verify medical staff credentials for new applicants and reappointments, collaborating with the Medical Director.
  • Coordinate the CEO's daily schedule and organize meetings as assigned.
  • Attend and maintain complete minutes for various facility meetings.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to type at least 65 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in Word and Excel software programs.
  • Shorthand experience is desired.

Nice-to-haves
