About the position

The Executive Administrative Officer for the Clinical Practice Management Plan (CPMP) at Stony Brook University is responsible for overseeing all administrative, financial, and strategic matters related to the CPMP and its affiliated clinical practices. This role serves as the principal administrative voice for CPMP, advising the board on management and strategic issues, and requires strong leadership and administrative skills. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Clinical Services and has a dotted-line report to the Executive Vice President of Stony Brook Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison to Senior Leadership on operational, administrative, financial, and strategic matters related to the UFPCs.
  • Collaborate with Leadership of Stony Brook Community Medical and Meeting House Lane on administrative, financial, and strategic matters.
  • Coordinate with various clinical entities to enhance strategic alignment and reduce redundancy.
  • Develop an integrated approach to systems and processes to enhance staff efficiency and improve performance across CPMP practices.
  • Lead the delivery of system-level strategies to ensure consistency and efficiency across clinical practices.
  • Develop a centralized model for expense consolidation across UFPCs.
  • Identify areas of redundancies across the clinical enterprise to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Provide oversight for Clinical Department Administrators and monitor finances for clinical practices.
  • Develop and oversee an Ambulatory Business Planning group.
  • Partner with Finance Governance Committee to ensure appropriate financial management of the Clinically Integrated Network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher).
  • Ten (10) years of full-time experience in healthcare administration with increasing roles in financial management, clinical practice operations, and human resources.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Healthcare Management or Business Administration.
  • More than ten (10) years of full-time experience in healthcare administration with increasing roles in financial management, operations, and human resources.
  • Experience with software systems used for clinical administrative management and patient care.
  • Experience with Clinical Integrated Networks.
