About the position

The Executive, Agronomy Sales position is a key role within an established International Ag Equipment Manufacturer that is entering the U.S. market. This position focuses on overseeing the agronomic process for the implementation of agricultural equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales in the Midwestern region. The ideal candidate will leverage their knowledge of crops and equipment to build relationships and negotiate sales effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the entire Agronomic process for implementation of Ag Equipment, supporting from start-up to plant production.
  • Provide analysis on the introduction of regenerative Agriculture and actively monitor research projects.
  • Accept customer orders in close cooperation with Area Managers.
  • Review orders for timely availability, order confirmation, and invoicing.
  • Prepare necessary export documents for international customers and partners, including customs and foreign trade documents.
  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of Ag Equipment sold in the area of responsibility.
  • Identify new high potential target markets and customers.
  • Work closely with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • 4-year Ag-related degree preferred.
  • Solid base of knowledge of Midwestern crops and cropping systems.
  • Strong relationship builder with skills in sales negotiations.
  • Proven territory sales experience including placing orders, export, customs processing, and customer support.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Ag equipment and implements.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a high level of commitment.
  • Computer savvy with MS Office applications and an ERP system.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a team.
