About the position

The Executive Assistant position at Granite Construction is responsible for managing the administrative functions for the Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and Treasurer. This role involves executing day-to-day operations, acting as a liaison to senior management, and coordinating special projects to ensure departmental efficiency. The Executive Assistant will also handle complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision, manage executive calendars, and prepare confidential materials for meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage administrative functions for the SVP, Corporate Finance and Treasurer.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute correspondence for COO and CFO.
  • Prepare and coordinate presentations and briefing materials for Board and Committee meetings.
  • Manage executives' calendars and travel arrangements.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and conferences, including logistics and materials.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage departmental expenses and ensure accurate accounting.
  • Serve as the point of contact for telephone and mail inquiries for executives.
  • Collaborate with other administrative staff on companywide projects.
  • Assist executives and managers with daily functions to ensure timely responses.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of increasingly responsible office administrative experience, with a minimum of 3 years at the executive level.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and organize work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Team player with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of staff.
