About the position

The Executive Assistant and Board Liaison at Episcopal Community Services (ECS) provides essential administrative support to the CEO and CFO, while also serving as the liaison to the Board of Directors. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations within the executive department and facilitating communication between the board and staff. The position requires superior organizational and communication skills, as well as discretion in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and CFO, including drafting documents and managing calendars.
  • Schedule and organize meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes for board and committee meetings.
  • Maintain the donor database and assist with fundraising initiatives and special events.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Prepare board and committee packets and keep board folders current.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with a senior leader preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is a plus.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is desirable.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.
  • Understanding of the San Diego philanthropic landscape.
