About the position

The Executive Assistant of Basketball plays a crucial role in providing high-level administrative support to the Sr. Vice President and Vice President of Men's Basketball. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage a demanding workload while handling confidential projects. The Executive Assistant will coordinate events, manage calendars, and serve as a liaison with various stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations within the basketball administration team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage highly confidential and sensitive projects.
  • Coordinate all events for the Sr. Vice President of Basketball and Vice President of Men's Basketball.
  • Work with internal and external groups to obtain agendas, reports, and background materials for meetings.
  • Serve as men's basketball liaison with NCAA Executive office.
  • Assist with organizing committee and executive meetings, including scheduling and developing presentation materials.
  • Engage on project teams to plan administration events related to basketball, including the Final Fours and NCAA Convention.
  • Serve as the point person for one or more areas related to each event.
  • Collaborate with basketball administration staff on team projects and deliver on group goals.
  • Assist with internal meetings, including scheduling and coordination of details.
  • Manage the calendars of the Sr. Vice President and Vice President, ensuring meetings are well-planned and prioritized.
  • Make travel arrangements and manage expenses for the Sr. Vice President and Vice President.
  • Maintain shared and accessible SharePoint files and manage correspondence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years related experience with at least three years supporting a senior-level executive preferred.
  • Highly developed organization and planning skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in drafting correspondence, writing reports, and summary documents.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive materials.
  • Ability to effectively manage administrative matters, including calendar management and meeting planning.
  • Demonstrated high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Asana.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with Salesforce and legal drafting.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding service and work in a team environment.
