About the position

The Executive Assistant - Elections Coordinator is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Auditor/Treasurer and the Burleigh County Commission. This role involves assisting in the election process, managing various administrative tasks, and ensuring effective communication and coordination within the department and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and provide recommendations for the election administration process.
  • Coordinate Requests for Proposal (RFP) and manage bulk mailings according to federal regulations.
  • Maintain and coordinate the internal calendar of duties and projects for the department.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of office equipment and coordinate with IT for computer equipment setup.
  • Provide confidential administrative support by preparing meeting materials, agendas, and minutes.
  • Manage website content and updates for the department and county commission.
  • Administer the election process and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing the annual election budget and monitor election administration communications.
  • Conduct outreach and education regarding voting and election processes.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in office support, business, or education with four years of high-level administrative support experience, or a bachelor's degree with two years of experience, or six years of high-level administrative support experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Ability to handle multiple duties and priorities with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
