About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our executive team at General Motors. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of assignments, both internal and external, that require independent thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills. This role involves handling complex and varied tasks, as well as routine administrative duties, ensuring that the executives can focus on their strategic responsibilities without being bogged down by administrative details. The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to executives, which includes managing their calendars, arranging travel, and coordinating meetings. The role requires the ability to independently solve non-routine problems of moderate scope and complexity, demonstrating adaptability and critical thinking. The successful candidate will perform routine tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely completion of all assignments. Working with minimal supervision, the Executive Assistant will take direction from the executives being supported and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Utilizing MS Office applications, the Executive Assistant will create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, ensuring that all materials are professional and polished. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. A high level of professionalism and attention to detail is essential in this role, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to executives, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
  • Independently solve non-routine problems of moderate scope and complexity, demonstrating independent thinking and adaptability.
  • Perform routine tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely completion.
  • Work with minimal supervision, taking direction from the executives being supported.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide solutions to routine and non-routine problems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
