About the position

The Executive Assistant I at the University of Alabama at Birmingham provides complex and confidential administrative support to the Chair of Urology. Responsibilities

  • Providing complex and often confidential administrative and support services to the department Chair
  • Researching information, compiling reports and summarizing incoming correspondence and publications
  • Monitoring financial, budgetary and personnel processes
  • Responsible for event planning
  • Handling general office management
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Two (2) years of related experience
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience in executive assistance
  • Scheduling experience
