About the position

The Executive Assistant II for AWS Cloud Governance plays a crucial role in supporting senior leadership within the organization. This position requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in managing executive-level calendars and coordinating both domestic and international travel. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism, ensuring that all interactions with senior executives reflect the high standards of AWS. The role involves proactive engagement with leadership to plan and organize various events and activities, which may range from small team meetings to large-scale corporate events. In addition to calendar management, the Executive Assistant will act as a liaison between direct reports and business stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration across teams. This includes tracking and driving the completion of key deliverables and participating in the planning of significant team activities, such as staff meetings and all-hands meetings. The candidate will also work closely with other executive assistants within the organization to share best practices and enhance operational efficiencies. AWS Cloud Governance is dedicated to providing tools, best practices, and controls for all customers, and this role is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of these services. Responsibilities

  • Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities, and calendars.
  • Management of complex calendars, scheduling requirements, and prioritization of executive's tasks and appointments according to their importance, urgency, and relevance.
  • Act as a liaison for direct reports and business stakeholders.
  • International and domestic travel coordination.
  • Participate in planning of events and drive key team activities (staff meetings, all-hands meetings, supply ordering).
  • Work alongside other executive assistants within the organization and throughout AWS to drive best practices and cross-collaboration of efficiencies.
  • Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables across programmatic mechanisms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience.
  • Experience managing multiple executive level calendars.
  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company.
  • Experience with end-to-end project management.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to improve processes to maximize efficiency.
