About the position

The Executive Assistant for Learning and Leading provides comprehensive administrative support to the Area Superintendent, ensuring efficient operation of the office. This role involves managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and assisting with budget preparation, while delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Composes letters, memos, and board agenda items.
  • Prepares reports, work orders, and enters digital information, including fiscal and payroll data.
  • Coordinates and responds to open records requests and grievance filings.
  • Delivers high-level customer service over the phone and in person, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintains the calendar of meetings and prepares follow-up materials.
  • Monitors and processes time records, including leave requests and reports.
  • Maintains office files in a systematic and confidential manner.
  • Assists with division budget preparation and maintains accurate records of expenditures.
  • Prepares and processes purchase orders and division payroll submissions in a timely manner.
  • Monitors the work of division secretaries and clerical aides.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of office experience, preferably in a related field.
  • Bilingual working proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $43,976 - $52,982 per year.
  • 239 duty days per year.
