About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant Manager to join our team at WestCoast Based Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our restaurant and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage various aspects of restaurant operations while ensuring a positive environment for both guests and employees. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the restaurant, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement among staff. Your leadership will be crucial in enhancing guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive guest experience for all guests, ensuring the cleanliness of the facilities and maintaining a professional, positive working environment for all employees.
  • Accurately manage the restaurant financials, including managing the profit and loss statement, tracking prime costs, and ensuring the restaurant is within specified range.
  • Oversee all inventories for accuracy, complete periodic inventory tracking sheets, and ensure the entire facility is clean and in good repair.
  • Manage deep-cleaning, daily cleaning, and maintenance projects, as well as manage all repairs and equipment maintenance plans.
  • Assist in schedule optimization, co-implement continuing education with the General Manager, and ensure focus points are distributed weekly.
  • Ensure large orders are built correctly and distributed in a timely manner, and conduct monthly audits of employee files and ServSafe certification.
  • Accurately prepare payroll documents in a timely manner, ensure all new hires are on-boarded correctly, and ensure daily tips, clock-ins, bonuses, sick days, and vacations are properly accounted for.
  • Develop managers and hourly employees, constantly review facilities, systems, employees, service, and costs for opportunities to improve, and give constant feedback to all employees.
  • Teach managers the importance of table touching and staying in contact with the guest, develop a 'working' mentality with all managers, and maintain a positive, inclusive work environment and ensure high employee retention.
  • Perform annual performance reviews for management and hourly staff, ensure a hospitable experience for all guests, and maintain high guest satisfaction.
  • Create relationships with all guests and provide a welcoming environment through guest interactions at the front door, table-touching, in the wine shop, and via email or phone correspondence.
  • Continued development of managers in key support roles, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant Manager or similar role in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including profit and loss statements and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with a focus on employee retention and satisfaction.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing excellent guest experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with payroll systems and employee onboarding processes.
  • Knowledge of ServSafe certification requirements and food safety standards.
